It was such an honor to be invited back to my alma mater to paint and it was so much fun to spend time up on campus again! My latest mural is about being inspired, about our connection with nature, and the oversized and specific plants are about taking a closer look at the natural world around us. It’s about seeing the bigger picture while also focusing on the tiny but important details. I had a wonderful experience at UCSC both the first time around and this time too, thank you Rachel Carson College for inviting me to paint!
Last year I was invited to work with my favorite Artivist group PangeaSeed doing my first real mural. It's titled Let's Solve the Dissolve, and is about ocean acidification and the fact that our oceans are becoming acidic enough to dissolve shells. Our excess CO2 + H2O = Carbonic Acid, so unless we want an ocean too acidic for life as we know it, we need to make the switch to clean energy asap. Stop by the corner of Caledonia and Soquel in Santa Cruz to check it out. For a mural map click on Sea Walls Santa Cruz.
My painting Elemental Murmurs is available at Modern Eden Gallery. My piece Preserve Habitat is available at Haven Gallery NY .
My new fancy phone cases are available at Gelaskins!
And just one last thing, please VOTE, it's the best way to keep up the fight for our rights, justice, and for our beautiful, fragile mother Earth and all her wildlife, there's so much at stake.
Thank you for stopping by!
